I'd like to take the time to explain the purpose of this blog. I, as you may have already guessed, am a baptized devoted Jehovah's Witness. The purpose of this blog is to provide factual information, based on the the bible principles, on how and why Jehovah's Witnesses are the true followers of god. I'd like for this to be a public witness as to why Jehovah's people are different. I would like to compare and contrast true Christians stances in world affairs, with those of the Nations (non Jehovah's Witnesses). I will provide biblical examples, as to how Jehovah's people reason on, and strictly adhere to the what bible teaches. With that being said, unless other wise specified all bible quotations are of the New World Translation.
This is simply my chance, for any who care to read, to compare what the bible teaches and how True Christians conduct themselves in world affairs. For example, politics, war, charity, homosexuality, etc. will be topics for discussion. I'd like to discuss issues as they occur. For example, suicides of homosexuals have been in the media a lot lately and I'd like to discuss this later, (possibly my next post), and with emphasis on what the bible teaches.
Lastly, I understand that religion is a soft spot for some. I understand that not everyone claiming to be christian will agree with Jehovah's Witnesses, or even the Bible. When we are witnessing to others (whether publicly or from door to door), we give everyone a chance to hear gods word, to listen or to proudly refuse. With that being said, I am strongly convinced of my beliefs, and they are not up for debate. As a Jehovah's Witness, we tactfully witness not debate. If you have questions, I'd be happy to answer of course, but if you come with the intent of trying to get me to question my beliefs, please don't bother. We all have the right to believe what ever we want. I'm also aware of the many websites that try and dispute Jehovah's Witness and their beliefs, however, I believe its part of the prophecy:
"there will come ridiculers with their ridicule, proceeding according to their own desires" (2 Peter 3:3).
In conclusion I'd like to emphasize that I am not in anyway part of the governing body. Please visit Jehovah's Witnesses official website at watchtower.org for further information.
